Oil on paper of a pepper trees and some old buildings

Pepper Tree

216 x 280mm | Oil on Paper

Day 4. Christmas Day. This one really didn’t turn out as I hoped. Sitting in a gale force wind, the sun seemed to dissappeared before I could finish the tree. That’s the challenge of plein air painting. Decided I’ll resist ‘fixing up’ any of the paintings when I get inside the house during this challenge.

The tree is a pepper tree. Don’t ask me what variety. Its a type of Schinus. Looks like the Schinus molle in my uneducated view.
Its one branch is leaning on a wall of the old pig styes on the farm. We no longer farm with pigs.

Check my Mom’s version of the tree on Facebook.
